Cuda Training

So I've been in Cali for training this past week. When I get home tomorrow morning I'll write some more as it's been very interesting. I got to spend a lot of time with Barracuda equipment and well, walked a lot. A lot.

Anyways normal news should return tomorrow as well. I'm also going to speak with my instructor and see what if any documents I can publish. Unfortunately almost everything was marked confidential so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to - but suffice to say it's all some pretty cool stuff, and it utilizes open source heavily.

Also this weekend I'll be spending some time on the network. levin has been locking up and it appears to be hardware related. A BIOS upgrade last week took it from 2-3 lock-ups a day to once this week. When I login to the hardware management console it shows all the internal fans/blowers have turned off which would certainly cause it to overheat and lock-up. But at last it's getting a bit better. I also got the mail filter working at full capacity again and plugged into LDAP with minimal credentials instead of using the Administrator login it had previously utilized.

Finally a few new sites have gone up on the server. computingzone.net is now officially MI-80's sister site in that it's not on the same server and even sharing the same Drupal installation. Another site in this similar setup will be going up in the near future. The pace has certainly quickened as last week another site was added to levin's roster but I won't mention it without talking to the owner first. His site is a bit different, no CMS and religious oriented. I'm actually hoping to switch that and ostsamy.com over to Drupal for ease of administration in the future. But....we'll see.
